An eighth-floor loft apartment at The Crest is set to be auctioned at a guide price of $2.65 million. The unit features a spacious living and dining area with a porch, a well-equipped kitchen, an en suite master bedroom, and two additional rooms. This marks the third time the property has been put up for sale, with its initial listing in 2018 at $2.43 million ($1,832 psf).
The apartment has previously been auctioned twice this year, first in January at an asking price of $2.8 million ($2,115 psf), and then again in March at a reduced price of $2.65 million ($2,002 psf). However, both auctions failed to attract buyers.
The Crest, completed in 2017, is a 99-year leasehold condominium development comprising 469 units distributed across three 23-storey towers and four low-rise five-storey blocks. Residents of The Crest enjoy a wide range of amenities, including a clubhouse, sky gym, BBQ pits, fitness area, swimming pool, landscaped gardens, jacuzzi, jogging path, tennis court, and 24-hour security.
The property’s convenient location is a major selling point. It is a short six-minute walk to Redhill MRT Station on the East-West Line and within proximity to the Alexandra Linear Park Connector and Redhill Market. Additionally, Crescent Girls’ School on Tanglin Road is just 500 meters away, making it an attractive option for families with school-going children.
Tricia Tan, Director of Auction and Sales at Knight Frank Singapore, who is handling the auction, highlighted the unit’s appeal. According to her, the loft apartment offers unobstructed views of the surrounding area and benefits from an abundance of natural light through its floor-to-ceiling windows in both the main living area and the bedrooms.
The auction for the three-bedroom loft apartment, located near Prince Charles Crescent in Bukit Merah’s prime District 3, is scheduled for April 23. This bank sale offers a unique opportunity to acquire a modern, well-lit home in a highly sought-after location.
