New Facilities Opening at Pasir Ris Mall, Including Polyclinic and Bus Interchange

After its soft launch on June 12, Pasir Ris Mall, located at 7 Pasir Ris Central, officially opened its doors with a grand ceremony on July 22. The event was attended by Senior Minister and Coordinating Minister for National Security, Teo Chee Hean, Senior Minister of State for the Prime Minister’s Office, Desmond Tan, and Member of Parliament for Pasir Ris-Punggol GRC, Sharael Taha.

The mall features over 150 retail outlets, including a Cantine by Kopitiam food court, a Cold Storage supermarket, and a MindChamps Preschool. Pasir Ris Mall is part of a larger integrated development by Allgreen Properties and Kerry Real Estate, which also includes the 487-unit Pasir Ris 8 condominium.

Additional amenities in and around the mall will be gradually completed over the next year. Among these is a polyclinic scheduled to open by the end of 2024. The mall will also be connected to a new bus interchange, set to be completed in 2025. This bus interchange will be part of the Pasir Ris Integrated Transport Centre, which will also serve the upcoming Cross Island MRT Line.

In his speech during the opening ceremony, Senior Minister Teo Chee Hean noted that the mall and its surrounding facilities are part of the ongoing efforts to rejuvenate Pasir Ris, a plan initiated in 2017. He added that all original precincts in the area have either undergone or are set to undergo upgrades, including lift replacement projects and HDB’s Home Improvement Program.

The mall is designed with sustainability in mind, featuring energy-efficient building materials and lighting. It also has mandatory green leases for tenants, which has earned it the BCA Green Mark Platinum Award, according to Kuok Khoon Ean, chairman of Kuok Group and Allgreen Properties.

Green leases, as defined by BCA, are agreements between landlords and tenants that outline environmental objectives for building, managing, and occupying a space sustainably.

Additionally, Town Plaza, the mall’s covered communal area, is expected to be completed by 2026. The upcoming Central Greenway path will be developed in phases, eventually linking the mall directly to Pasir Ris Park and the beach. To support this new connection, Pasir Ris Mall will be equipped with end-of-trip facilities, including bicycle parking and shower areas.
